Rope Thread Casing for Mini Piling
Micropiles may be constructed using rope thread casings together with drill rods or augers. Check out our Drill Rods page for details of our available range. For Duplex drilling in rock, the length of the drill rod and drill casing should be exact as any variations can cause issues with distance of rock bit at the face of cutting.
To enable cuttings to be returned between the rod and casing for discharge at the duplex head, rock bits of the size nearest to the ID of the casing should be selected with sub-length. Rock bit adaptors are used to adapt the rock bit to the drill rod. Having the correct length is critical to ensure distance of rock bit from casing for optimum cutting returns.
