John Lawrie Metals

As the largest metal recycler in the North-East of Scotland, handling around 200,000 tonnes of metal annually, our aim is zero to landfill. We are reimagining the recycling and reuse of industrial and domestic metals to deliver value to our customers, supporting their net zero and sustainability goals. We reuse metals to create bespoke steel products and in doing so reduce our impact on the Earth’s natural resources.

Over the years we have invested in ultra-efficient processing facilities and machinery to provide an end-to-end service for removing, recycling and repurposing industrial metals.

About Us

We take our duty of care to our customers, communities, and environment seriously, providing full transparency on where waste is coming from and going to.

We have strategically located facilities across the East of Scotland, all of which are licensed and regulated by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).

Metal Reuse & Recycling

Our aim is zero to landfill and our goal is to provide a problem-free solution for the removal, storage, processing and the ultimate recycling or reuse of scrap metal.

We process and recycle all types of scrap metal from large or small-scale industrial sites.

Marine-related products such as new and used anchor chain, shackles and kenters, and used wire rope are also handled and, where possible, reused.

All our yards work to service the local communities within which we work, servicing the needs of local businesses and residents.
