Ray has been with John Lawrie for 15 years and with over 40 years' experience in senior roles in the waste management industry, he’ll be sorely missed.

However, we are delighted to confirm that he will be continuing to support John Lawrie in a consultancy position so we can continue to benefit from his wisdom. A valued member of our team, Ray's knowledge and expertise have been well appreciated not just by John Lawrie, but by the wider industry at large.

Before joining John Lawrie, Ray had his own environmental consultancy, prior to which he spent 18 years as General Manager with a publicly-owned UK waste management company where he was responsible for a wide range of waste related activities.

Ray was a North Region board member of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) from 1996 to 2000, has been a member of the Chartered Institution of Waste Management since 2002 and is a Chartered Environmentalist. Ray has also been a member of the British Metals Recycling Association's (BMRA) Legislative Policy Group since 2007 and has was also appointed Chair of the BMRA's Scottish Policy Group.

We wish Ray a very happy retirement but look forward to continuing our working relationship in the future.

All the best (for now) Ray!
