"I was born and raised in Dayton, Texas which is still where I call home today. I married my husband, Justin, in October of 2000 so I’m looking forward to celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary later this year 😊 We have two children together, Colby age 19, and Brady age 12. I graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake in May of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

I started with John Lawrie in 2001 but decided I wanted to try something new so took a pause to try my hand at teaching from August 2003 to May of 2004. I came back to the company in June of 2004 and haven’t looked back.

My biggest inspiration is my mom, Arlene. She instilled in me from a very young age how important it was to be able to take care of yourself and your family; that nothing is certain in this life and she never wanted me to be financially dependent on anyone. My mom led by example; she started off as a bank teller in the early 80s and has continued to work her way up and is now a Senior Vice President. Not everything has come easy but like her I have worked hard and overcome various challenges along the way. I was taught to always give 110% and that anything you do should be done with care and your best effort should always be given.

My husband has always been my biggest supporter. He takes an equal share in the household and child rearing aspect of our life allowing me the opportunity, not only to be a mom, but also have a great career. We are a great team and I am forever thankful for him.

I am very proud to be a part of such a great organization with such inspiring people. I have had great mentors in the form of Charlie (CFO) and Vic (CEO) throughout my journey. I have always been made to feel like an equal and valuable member of the John Lawrie team. I am proud to be a part of this company and I am looking forward to continued growth and opportunity for both my professional career and the business itself.

For fun I love spending quality time with my family. We especially love our weekends at Lake Sam Rayburn enjoying water sports and sunshine. I also enjoy the Texas Hill Country and Snow skiing when the opportunity arises.
