This year we once again partnered with the Pawl Lawrie foundation to support them in their continuing development of young golf talent in the North-East of Scotland and beyond.

With their principle location just a short drive away from our headquarters in Aberdeen the Foundation was founded in 1999 following Paul Lawrie’s Open Championship win. Paul and his wife Marian wanted to be able to give back to the sport that had given them so much over the years. Their focus was to remove the financial barriers between young people and golf.

Our sponsorship, along with their other sponsors, helps to provide professional coaching, activities and events throughout the year for junior players across Scotland. Their golf centre currently coaches around 50 juniors at their Foundation Academy as well as 5 supported professionals (as of 2019). Their team of PGA professionals work hard to develop future talent and the foundation hopes to increase school involvement throughout the year.

We’re extremely proud to be able to play a small part in helping support this great initiative. We hope that our help will enable more young people to excel within a sport that is such a fundamental piece of Scotland’s national tourism and sporting industries. With competitions such as the Junior Jug, Junior Quaich, and the Paul Lawrie Foundation Junior Open in April, it’s unsurprising that they continue to discover new talent. We wish them all the best for the coming season.
